HERE COMES THE NEW 100 EURO TV BONUS: HOW IT WORKS AND WHO CAN REQUEST IT
Now it's official: the Draghi Government has decided to add another incentive to the 50 Euro TV Bonus that has been in operation for some years to facilitate the transition to the new DVB-T2 digital terrestrial digital. Since the TV fleet to be replaced is important, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Economic Development has decided to "widen the mesh" with a cascade advantage that will not see the presence of any type of limitation linked to the ISEE. . techsupportreviews Central, however, will be the scrapping of an old apparatus. Let's find out all the details of the initiative.
How does the 100 Euro TV bonus work?
In the implementing decree, the Ministry does not explicitly
speak of Bonuses but rather of "a 20% discount" on the purchase price
of a new TV, which can reach a maximum of 100 Euros. This is the first change
compared to the previous one, which provides for the payment of 50 Euros to all
those who fall within the ISEE I or II bands at the time of purchase.
The new 100 Euro TV Bonus , as we said above, is
characterized by a 20% discount on the purchase price of a new device and can
reach a maximum of 100 Euro. Central to obtaining it will be the scrapping of
an old TV, purchased before December 22, 2018 , since - as we read in the
circular - "the discount has the objective of favoring the replacement of
television sets that are not suitable for the new technological standards, in
order to assurance environmental protection and the promotion of the circular
cheap through their correct disposal ".
This incentive will not lead to the cancellation of the
previous one , which will remain in force, rather it will be cumulative by
those who meet all the requirements, and here the second question arises: what
requirements must be met to obtain the new Bonus? As previously indicated,
there is no limit related to the family ISEE. However, it is necessary to have
residence in Italy and to be up-to-date with the payment of the Rai license
fee. The Ministry specifies that citizens aged seventy-five or over who are
exempt from paying the tax on the possession of audiovisual equipment will also
be able to access the facility.
Central scrapping of an old TV
The most important eye of the entire program, however, is
represented by the scrapping of a TV purchased before December 22, 2018 . In
fact, this is what gives the right to the subsidy. Scrapping can take place
directly at the time of purchasing the new TV, delivering the old one to the
retailer who for his part - following the classic channels - will take care of
the disposal. This system is probably the most convenient for the shops
themselves, since by taking care of the disposal they will obtain a tax credit
equal to the discount granted to the customer with the purchase.
Alternatively, however, the old TV can be scrapped at one of
the numerous authorized ecological islands scattered throughout Italy. The
procedure conceived in this case provides for the delivery of a certification with
the relative documentation which must then be given to the retailer when
purchasing the new TV to obtain the bonus.
Only 250 million Euros of resources. Is there a rush for the bonus?
If there is one aspect that raises a lot of perplexity,
however, it is that relating to the resources deployed by the Government. The
MEF in fact explains that only 250 million euros have been allocated , and that
the bonus will be available until 31 December 2022 unless the ceiling runs out
in advance.
The latest figures speak of half of the families who will be
forced to change TV , for a total of 26 million households. Doing two
calculations, it is easy to guess that a real bonus race will be triggered -
also because it may not be able to cover the overall requirement.
In this regard it will be necessary to monitor the progress
of the measure. In fact, it cannot be excluded that, as happened in the past
for other bonuses, the Executive decides to refinance it to cover all the
citizens concerned.
We remind you that the TVs and decoders currently on sale
are perfectly compatible with DVB-T2, as established by Italian law. In case of
doubts, however, the MISE tool remains available with the relative list that
allows you to carry out the necessary checks.
